As part of its work on wellbeing, and focussing on trying to manage stressful situations before they arise, the IBC invites you to an informative and interactive discussion on dealing with conflict, difficult conversations, and managing wellbeing in chambers.

This seminar will cover:

  • Dealing with colleagues and barristers on sensitive and difficult issues.
  • Understanding what conflict is and how it escalates.
  • Managing conversations around stress, pressure and wellbeing in chambers.
  • Resources on assisting your own stress and wellbeing.

Our speaker will be former lawyer Jane Gunn. She is a mediator, speaker and author. Jane’s skill is in getting people talking about what matters most – both to them and to their organization and motivated, energized and committed to what needs to happen next.
Previously invited to speak at the United Nations, The White House, The European Commission and The International Energy Agency, she has spoken at conferences and events all over the world.

Jane has worked with organisations large and small including McLaren Racing Ltd, Bacardi Martini Ltd, Cable & Wireless, The NHS, BAA, The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, ACCA and many more.

This informative and practical seminar will be of use for all those in chambers who may find themselves dealing with conflict and managing difficult situations.
