Senate House Chambers is the largest team of barristers in Northampton, serving the Midlands and South of England. In 2014 seventeen of the region’s established barristers came together to form Senate House Chambers. Our mission from inception has been to provide the highest quality legal service in Northampton, the Midlands and the South of England. We are Legal 500 recognises as a leading regional set in family law. Our counsel comprise 4 silks, 25 barristers and 2 pupils and growing. The role will involve general clerking and administrative duties, this includes management of the barristers’ professional commitments; data entry; case fixing; liaising with solicitors and lay clients and preparation and collection of Counsels fees including legally aided and private work.
Candidates will be well motivated, conscientious and keen, a smart appearance is essential. They will need to possess good communication skills, be able to work well under pressure and can work with confidence unsupervised and on their own initiative.
Hours of work 9:30-6
Starting salary £20k rising to £25k, depending upon experience. However, full training can and will be given to the right candidate.
