Salary - between 20K and 25K depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering telephone calls in a professional manner, dealing with enquiries and taking bookings ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Managing the diary ensuring Chambers accepts as much work as can be serviced, being prepared to go the extra mile to assist instructing solicitors
  • Dealing with enquiries from your allocated barristers and others if their clerk is unavailable
  • Preparation and submission of fees for your allocated barristers
  • Running and managing aged debt and unbilled reports
  • Maintaining task lists
  • Running reminder letter reports
  • Ability to cover admin role as necessary including dealing with clerks inbox and court listing information
  • Answering the door
  • Collection and distribution of post
  • Assistance with stationary deliveries/confidential waste collection
  • Assist with maintaining general tidiness of Chambers
  • GDPR compliance in respect of briefs and brief store control
  • Familiarisation of security procedures when last to leave the building
  • Flexibility or working hours 8.30am and 6pm as the business dictates
