We are looking to recruit a Practice Assistant to join our team

The successful candidate will be conscientious, hard-working and enthusiastic; you will also
be capable of working as part of a team as well as using your own initiative. This role is ideal for someone who is interested in starting a career as a barristers’ clerk.

Duties will include:
Sorting and dealing with incoming and outgoing DX and post
Dealing with incoming and outgoing emails and faxes
Transportation of documents to and from court (including lodging documents)
Photocopying and preparing bundles for court
Assist maintaining office supplies
Liaising with courts to check listings
Recording incoming and outgoing papers (briefs/instructions) on the Lex system
Answering telephone calls and assisting clients with enquiries where appropriate (in time and subject to performance this will also include booking cases into the pupil/junior barristers’ diaries)

Salary £21,216.00 (an interest free season ticket loan will be provided after the successful
completion of a 3 month probation period)
